chocolate

The earlist known use of cacao, the key ingredient of chocolate, was 1000 BC. Indians used to a fermented cacao drink that was made from the sweet pulp of the plant and may contain up to 5% alcohol in volume. So, the first cacao-drink was like beer or liqueur! It is funny that our chocolates with brandy come from the ancient time.
